Regulation law drafted by the Police board of Niagara

The Police service board in Niagara is working on the regulations that deal with the car hailing companies and the taxi services because from last November many ride sharing companies provide illegal service. Many cities in Canada like Ottawa, Toronto and Mississauga are facing fallout and have already reformulated their regulations. And on May 26th, 2016 the solicitor, the Police service board and the officers met with the officials of the ride sharing companies like Lyft and Uber to discuss about the final version of the regulation. And in the meeting the members decided to meet and deal with the new changes that are added in the regulation on June 9th, 2016.

The Niagara Police Board Chairman is Bob Gale, the board is responsible for the local regulations that govern all business services the drivers of various hiring jobs the sightseeing vehicles, limousines, horse-drawn buggies and cabs and tow trucks. The Chairman of the board said that they are contemplating the regulations drafted by them after the meeting with the members of the taxi industry and ride sharing company. The board did not release the changes made in the regulation, but sources said the main focus of the board is to equalize the playing field for both the taxi service and the ride sharing service. The officials of the board said that the meetings that were held in the past few months were courteous.

The Chairman of the board decides to complete the regulation issue by deciding July 1st, 2016 as the deadline period. Because the tourist season stared from May 24th and they do not want to further deal with the same issue.
